Olivia Gierke

I am Olivia Gierke!

I was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio.

​

My dad unintentionally introduced me to the arts by dragging me to his office at Toledo’s art school almost as soon as I was born. Most of my early memories consist of riding my scooter around the halls and making sure the ballet teacher didn’t catch me watching through her classroom window. 

​

I started theatre in 1st grade, making my debut as a mouse in Cinderella and I never looked back. For college, I made my way to Ada, Ohio. Never heard of it? That’s because it is small. And I mean SMALL. In the middle of that cornfield, I found my forever people and fueled my passion even more than I thought possible. 

​

Now, I’m in Columbus getting a taste of Ohio’s big city, before I move to NYC for the real deal. Onstage, I love getting to play with bold ideas, everything bright and fun, and making people laugh. The sillier the better! 

​

When I’m not onstage I’m usually snuggled up on my couch reading a book or listening to some podcasts about cults. It’s not weird. I love to surround myself with people and make friends wherever I go. As the great Glinda once said: “Strangers are just friends you haven’t met yet.”
